Basics of Objects

Objects available in Tacticalista include players, balls, markers, lines, circles, rectangles, polygons, polylines, text, and handwriting. To add each object to a field, select it from the toolbar and then manipulate it on the field.

Adding an object to a field

Select the object you wish to add from the Tools menu and click on the field to place the object. Line, circle, rectangle, polygon, and polyline objects can be dragged over the field to set their size when placed.

Place objects in sequence

Normally, the toolbar automatically returns to selection mode after placing an object, but by pressing to set the continuous placement state to place the same object consecutively.

Deleting objects from a field

Placed objects can be deleted by pressing the that appears when selected. In the desktop version, they can also be deleted by pressing the Backspace or Delete key.

Multiple Object Selection

To select multiple objects placed on a field, drag over the field to enclose the objects you wish to select. Alternatively, hold down the Shift key while selecting objects. Smartphones and tablets that do not have access to a keyboard will display a button on the screen. Multiple objects can be selected by turning on . Objects of the same type can also be selected together by pressing the Select Object Type button that appears in the tool menu when in selection mode.

Alignment of objects

Player, marker, and ball objects can be aligned by pressing the Align button. To align multiple objects, select the objects you wish to align and press the following buttons

  • Align Left: Aligns based on the left-most object.
  • Align Right: Aligns based on the rightmost object.
  • Align on Top: Aligns with respect to the uppermost object.
  • Bottom Align: Aligns based on the bottom-most object.
  • Horizontal Distribution: Distributes the selected objects equally horizontally.
  • Vertical Distribution: Distributes the selected objects vertically at equal intervals.

Order of overlap of objects

The overlap order of the objects can be changed by pressing the "Overlap Order" button. Select the objects you want to change the overlapping order of and press the following buttons to do so.

  • Send to Back: Move one object to the back.
  • Send Backward: Move one object to the back.
  • Send Forward: Move one object to the front.
  • Send to Front: Move one object to the front.

Duplicating Objects

To duplicate an object, select the object you wish to duplicate and press . Or press [Ctrl/Cmd + D] on the keyboard to duplicate the object. If multiple objects are selected, the selected objects will be duplicated.

Copy/cut/paste objects

To copy or cut an object, select the object to be copied or cut and press or . On the keyboard, [Ctrl/Cmd + C] copies and [Ctrl/Cmd + X] cuts. The data of the copied/cut object is saved to the clipboard on the application. To paste the saved object, press . On the keyboard, pressing [Ctrl/Cmd + V] will paste. The paste will be placed at the same location where it was copied.
